How it Works

CPL or IPL works by emitting wavelengths of light to target a range of different skin concerns, These various wavelengths are attracted to particular discolorations and imperfections, the light will then stimulate the skin cell renewal process to speed up and push these imperfections to the surface of the skin before flaking off.

Heat is generated in broken blood vessels causing Capillaries to shrink and reducing the appearance of redness.

During these processes the light emitted by the CPL will also stimulate collagen synthesis in various layers of the skin, therefore plumping fine lines and wrinkles whilst having a slight tightening effect on the skin.

The Result

The result will be long-lasting reduction to clearing of pigment lesions and skin imperfections with improved skin texture in 1 to 10 sessions with 1 to 4 week intervals. Sessions can take from 5 minutes up to 1 hour depending on the size of the area and number of areas being treated.

Clients usually experience a slight darkening of the pigmentation treated, or a purplish color of capillaries, which is accompanied by a reddening or local swelling of the surrounding skin. After 1 to 2 weeks the darkened lesions will fade and/or flake off. Uneven complexions fade and become clearer and the skin feels softer and looks rejuvenated. Skin usually becomes instantly plumped and refined with little down time needed for these low invasive yet effective treatments.
