Skin Concern

Redness, Rosacea & Broken Capillaries

Redness and capillaries concern

Persistent redness, easy flushing and fine broken capillaries are among the most common concerns we see - visible colour across the cheeks, nose and chin that make-up can never quite settle. At our Woollahra clinic in eastern Sydney, care begins with a skin consultation where Jade reviews your skin, then plans a considered Pico laser approach to help soften the appearance of redness and visible vessels.

What sits behind facial redness

Facial redness shows up in a few ways: a flush that comes and goes across the cheeks and nose, a steady background of colour that never quite settles, or fine red and purple threads where small vessels sit close to the surface. It is one of the most common things clients raise with us, and it has many drivers:

  • Genetics and naturally fair, reactive or thin skin
  • Sun exposure over many years, which weakens the walls of small vessels
  • Heat, temperature swings, exercise, alcohol and spicy food that trigger flushing
  • Skin that is prone to rosacea, where redness and visible vessels tend to persist

Where skin is prone to rosacea, we focus on the appearance of redness and visible capillaries rather than the underlying condition, which is something to review with your own health practitioner. Our role is cosmetic: helping soften how that colour and those vessels look.

How we approach it at Skin Body Health

We are a consultation-led clinic, so we won’t assume the right path before seeing your skin in person. Your first step is a skin consultation with Jade at our rooms in eastern Sydney. Together we will:

  • Look closely at your skin, the pattern of redness and any visible capillaries
  • Talk through your triggers, history and what has and hasn’t helped before
  • Set realistic expectations, including whether a course of sessions may suit you
  • Outline a considered plan with a patch test, sensible aftercare and diligent sun protection

We share clear, honest information, so you understand what a Pico laser approach can realistically do for the appearance of redness before you commit.
